these banners first surfaced in his CLEMENTINE GALLERY Prove – 'The Righteous Age', of final spring,
Feb 21-March 29, 2008. brilliant graphic designs, produced past dye transfer release on woven polyester –
there were three of them – of very different design – on yellow, ruddy and white backgrounds – each edition of 50
and selling for $300 a pop.
our merely gripe back then – was that for a multiple they were so high priced, esp considering the edition number – that the immature hard core fan base for his work – could non do good from the chance, a multiple usually allows them – to go their hands on the fine art at hand. . . looking back. and, re-because the fact of their size and first-class technical format – well – I was but mad – I didn't have the $300 to purchase 1 !!

this book launch was all about multiples 'value' – at $45 the volume is a manner solid purchase – a beautiful fine art product – large scale, hard encompass, proficient quality & weight paper, excellent full color reproduction – 144 pages of MATT LEINES artwork – presented total folio – straightforward & unadorned or messed with. PUBLISHED By Costless NEWS PROJECTS – an artist community-centric PUBLISHING HOUSE out of PHILLY.
plus, at the launch – he didn't only sign the volume – he inscribed it – for his fans – slowly and advisedly – with one of his signature gestures.

DESERT Isle is owned and operated by entrepreneur and comic/graphic screenprint artist GABRIEL FOWLER,
with a niggling help from his friend, KERI BUTLER. Mr. Fowler seems to be downplaying his own artistic ambitions,
in the goal of promoting the artists whose piece of work he is selling – but his own brand of creative impulse is undeniably driving the store's unique blitz of visual and highly animated energy.
